Escape of a Ghoul

This reminds me of a story I heard on the radio.

A man and woman robbed some store, a "Bed Bath And Beyond", I believe.  They had the money and
would probably have made a successful getaway, had the woman not dropped their pet duck.  BUT SHE DID.
In the ensuing confusion, they were apprehended by the police.

I can only assume The Ghoul:  a. has no pet duck.
                                     or:   b. did not bring it with him.
                                     or:   c. did not drop it.

The moral of the story being, if you might need to escape, don't bring the duck ... or if you do, don't drop it.
